Here are the three players who can be instrumental in helping Punjab Kings in winning their maiden IPL trophy.
Jonny Bairstow has put in splendid performances in the Indian Premier League. The right-hander will be keen to do well for his new franchise-Punjab Kings. With Lokesh Rahul signed by Lucknow Super Giants, it is obvious that Mayank Agarwal was going to be named as next captain of the franchise. He has the ability to score quick runs in the Powerplay overs and will be keen to show consistency at the top of the innings. Last season, Mayank Agarwal accumulated 441 runs in 12 matches at an average of 40.09 with a strike rate of 140.44. He has notched up four half-centuries in the competition last year. Pacer Kagiso Rabada will be focused to do well for Punjab Kings in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League. The South African pacer was bought by the franchise for a whopping fee of 9.25 crore.
He will be looking to provide early breakthroughs with the new-ball for Punjab Kings. Last season, Rabada claimed 15 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 30.40. In 2020 Indian Premier League, Rabada became the first overseas bowler to take 30 wickets in the competition. Given his ability to take with the new and old ball, Punjab Kings will be hoping that he can deliver his best in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League.
