South Africa is scheduled to tour Ireland in the month of August to play two-match T20I series, starting from 3rd August at County Ground in Bristol.
Host Ireland have announced their 14-member squad for the upcoming series against South Africa. Andrew Balbirnie will lead the side for the two-match T20I series. Bowling all-rounder Fionn Hand and wicket-keeper are two uncapped players named in T20I squad for South Africa series.
Harry Tector, Gareth Delaney, Paul Stirling, George Dockrell, Lorcan Tucker, Andy McBrine and Mark Adair are named in Ireland’s T20I squad for the two-match series.
On the other hand, South Africa will be keen to continue their decent run in the T20 format. David Miller is the interim captain for South Africa for this two-match T20I series. Wayne Parnell, Rilee Rossouw, Dwaine Pretorius and Heinrich Klaasen are named in the T20I squad for Ireland series.
Wicket-keeper Tristan Stubbs and uncapped pacer Gerald Coetzee are promising players picked for Ireland series.
Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Wayne Parnell, Dwaine Pretorius, Andile Phehlukwayo and Anrich Nortje are pace options for South Africa for this two-match T20i series. Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi are prominent spinners named in the T20I squad. Aiden Markram has proved to be handy part-time spinner for South Africa in this format.
In the batting department, the onus will be on the likes of Quinton de Kock, Tristan Stubbs, Rilee Rossouw, David Miller and Aiden Markram to deliver the bulk of the runs.

Besides Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen has shown exceptional form with the bat and accumulated 274 runs In nine outings at an average of 45.66.
Since July 2021, left-arm Chinaman Tabraiz Shamsi has been leading wicket-taker for South Africa in the T20 format. In 14 matches played, Shamsi has claimed 16 wickets at an economy rate of 7.95.

Since July 2021, opener Paul Stirling has topped the batting charts for Ireland in the T20 format. In 26 T20Is, Stirling has accumulated 727 runs at an average of 30.29 with one century and two half-centuries.
Besides Stirling, skipper Andrew Balbirnie has done a decent job with the bat in the shortest format of the game. In 26 matches played for Ireland, Balbirnie has scored 521 runs at an average of 21.70 with two half-centuries to his name.
Since July 2021, medium-pacer Mark Adair has topped the bowling charts for Ireland. In 23 T20Is played for Ireland, Mark Adair has taken 32 wickets at an excellent economy rate of 7.48. During this period, left-arm quick Joshua Little has shown impressive form for Ireland and claimed 28 wickets in 20 outings at an economy rate of 6.74.
The two-match T20I series will be played at County Ground, Bristol on 3rd and 5th August respectively.
